The whole process of creation GIS and its maintenance in actual state could be divided into several steps:

  1. Analyses of customers needs – definition of goals, analyses of requirement (input, output, PC net, server, number of users), analyses of the present state (hardware, software, data, information, application), pre-analyses of costs and benefits, initial starts, final project.
  2. Purchase of license for software and hardware – according to the results of analyses,
  3. Prepare of input data in digital form – collecting data
    3.1 … from surveying measurement - if they exist
    - if they do not exist, the digitalization is needed
    3.2 … from the real estate register - digital maps
    3.3 … from photogrammetry - ortho-photomaps
    3.4 … from other sources

    - photographs, videos, 3D models, 3D visualization, data from remote sensing (GPS above all),

    3.5 … from another software (connection with other applications which are owned by customers)

    - ground plan (regulations and public notices), data from structural department

  5. Data management and updating

Set of Products – „MIS GEFOS South Bohemia 2005“:

This set is designed for towns in the South Bohemian region. It represents a set of products which provides all accessible information about the real situation of administered territory in connection to the real estate register.

The basic heart of this set is software named MISYS (municipality information system).

  • Borrowing SW for three months – free of charge,
  • Sale of information system,
  • Implementation of IS,
  • Creation of a new database and its connection with IS,
  • Transformation and connection existing database with IS,
  • Assurance of functionality of IS,
  • Regular actualization of data according to needs of a customer (usually once in three months)
  • Consultations and education services – during the analyses of customers needs, the choice of the suitable hardware, the preparation of the appropriate optional proceedings.
  • Education and hot line for all users of application MISYS – free of charge
  • DATA - other important products.

    • Complete GIS of the town (creation, administration and actualization of data), we cooperate with T-MAPY company.
    • Since 2003 GEFOS has cooperated with the Town on preparation of input data – we supplied to the town the digital map created in cooperation of the system administrators (administration and actualization of data is proceeded). GEFOS also sold to the town orthophotomap of the whole administrative territory,
    • The digitalization of the ground plan, we cooperate with A+U Design company
